In collaboration with the Neue deutsche Organisationen (NdO), Wikimedia Deutschland aims to use the program to give marginalized knowledge more space and visibility. re\u2022shape is aimed at people and communities who experience racism. In addition to financial support of up to \u20ac5,000, grantees also receive non-material support \u2014 such as guidance and advice on engaging with Free Knowledge and implementing their projects.<\/p>\n

The program funds projects that aim to make marginalized knowledge more visible by publishing project results under a free license. This allows the knowledge to reach a wider audience and, for example, to be used more easily in school and non-school education, or to support a fairer media representation of marginalized groups.<\/p>\n

In June 2026, the third program year of re\u2022shape came to an end \u2014 a Wikimedia program supporting knowledge justice. After three program years, we’re now taking a pause to evaluate the program and further develop it. A new funding round is not currently planned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The topic of knowledge justice and making marginalized knowledge visible remain important to us.
