Wie funktioniert die WikidataCon?

WikidataCon 2025 is an online conference celebrating Wikidata, its community, and the wider Open Data ecosystem. This event brings together Wikidata contributors, researchers, tool-makers, and anyone interested in the world’s largest Knowledge Graph to share knowledge, exchange ideas, start discussions, and learn about new projects and initiatives powered by Wikidata. Sessions will cover a wide range of topics pulling from including: Lexicographical data, data reuse, the future of Wikidata, the LOD ecosystem and how to provide high-quality open data to the world.
How does the WikidataCon work?
The conference is taking place online, sessions are scheduled across three days from October 31 to November 2, 2025. Find the full programme on this page. All sessions will take place in English and open to anyone and everyone interested in Wikidata, some Wikidata experience may be necessary to engage with some sessions.
How to watch:
Attend live in the Jitsi room: Register to get the access link and join the room, interact directly with the speakers and participants. If you want to ask questions or chat with fellow Wikidatians, this is the best choice. Or watch the YouTube livestream: Ideal if your device doesn’t support Jitsi or your connection is unstable, we recommend watching through YouTube, however please remember you won’t be able to interact with the speakers. Watch the replay videos later on Commons (or YouTube): catch up with any sessions you missed or want to watch again.
